Hollywoodland to be released September 8, 2006
Alert Fangirl Cathy wrote to tell us that boxofficemojo.com is listing the release date of HOLLYWOODLAND as September 8, 2006. The weekend after Labor Day…not sure if that’s good or bad. I don’t think it’s good.

Hotdog! Finally a peep from somebody about Hollywoodland. Maybe Focus Features is hoping it won’t get lost amongst all the other movies being released for the Labor Day holiday.

I kind of like the opening date.
The fall is the time for all the Oscar-bait movies, and Focus seems to be aiming more for potential award attention rather than big boxoffice with this picture. (Both would be great, though).
And there’s a lot of other hopeful Oscar contenders also opening in September. Brad Pitt’s ‘Assassination of Jesse James’ opens 9/15, and All the King’s Men opens 9/22.
Also, Hollywood might open very limited on 9/8 and then go wider later in the fall.

September 8? Thats like a year for me I can’t wait that long. I need to see Adrien in the big screen. I might try to get tickets to that premiere. I hope Adrien gets another Oscar for best actor.

Great, I have to wait until September 8th. Just waiting for the last day of school is taking forever. I don’t know how I’m going to survive.
